These devices combine high linear current transfer ratio (CTR) and low forward current of 0.5 mA, supporting operating temperatures up to+125 ° C and offering four packaging options
MALVERN, Pennsylvania, USA, Shanghai, China - March 24, 2026- Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE stock code: VSH) announced the launch of a new series of photonic crystal tube optocouplers - VOx619A. This series of products supports high linear current transfer ratio (CTR) and low forward current of 0.5 mA in temperature changing environments. The Vishay VOx619A series comes in four packaging options: DIL-4, Long Creepage Distance LSOP-4, Compact SOP-4, and Half Pitch SSOP-4. It supports high temperature working environments up to+125 ° C, improving precision and energy efficiency for industrial applications.

Compared to the previous generation solution, the forward current of this series of optocouplers has been reduced by 50%, making the design more energy-efficient in micro mobility, industrial, energy metering, communication, and consumer applications, thereby reducing power consumption. In these applications, these devices are designed for signal transmission and electrical and noise isolation in DC/DC converters, programmable controllers, and power supplies. They can also be used in conjunction with devices with limited current drive capabilities, such as microcontrollers.
The current transfer ratio (CTR) of traditional optocouplers may drop below 50% of the specified value when the temperature reaches 25 ° C, while the VOx619A series maintains a CTR of>75% across a wide temperature range. This linear characteristic ensures high fidelity transmission of signals, which is crucial for applications that require precise data processing. The temperature range of the previous generation solution was limited to+110 ° C (traditional couplers typically can only withstand+85 ° C), while the VOx619A series supports a larger temperature range, ensuring reliable performance under extreme conditions.
The VOx619A series devices are equipped with an infrared emitting diode optically coupled with a phototransistor detector. The DIL-4 and LSOP-4 packaged optocouplers provide a maximum rated isolation voltage of up to 5000 VRMS, with creepage distance and electrical clearance of ≥ 7 mm and ≥ 8 mm, respectively. The SOP-4 and SSOP-4 packaged devices offer more compact options to save circuit board space, while providing voltage isolation of 3750 VRMS, creepage distance, and electrical clearance of ≥ 5 mm. These optocouplers comply with RoHS standards, are halogen-free, and meet Vishay green standards.
