
Dior (Nasdaq: DIOD) announced the launch of PI2DPT1021Q, a new bit level re timer designed to meet the stringent requirements of the automotive market, which complies with automotive standards. This device supports USB Type-C ® Application's Display Port ™ (DP) 1.4 and USB 3.2 standards, such as infotainment and dashboard, rear entertainment, smart cockpit, and active cables.

PI2DPT1021Q is a 10Gbps re timer capable of handling high-speed data transmission required by modern in car systems. A key advantage of this device is its ability to maintain high-speed signal integrity (by providing receiver adaptive equalization to compensate for channel losses up to -23dB at 5GHz). PI2DPT1021Q also has jitter cleaning function and adaptive continuous time linear equalizer (CTLE), as well as an adjustable three tap (Tap) transmitter.
PI2DPT1021Q provides flexible 4:4 channel operation and supports system on chip (SOC) devices with integrated USB/DP crossbar switches. The configuration of this device is programmed through the I ² C interface, allowing for the selection of different modes: four channel DP 1.4 (HBR3), dual channel DP 1.4 (HBR3), and single channel USB 3.2 Gen2, as well as single or dual channel USB 3.2 Gen2.
PI2DPT1021Q adopts a bidirectional design, providing flexibility in signal flow selection, which is particularly useful for active cable applications. The device has an extremely low delay (<1ns) from signal input to output, ensuring good interoperability between different USB and DP devices.
Power management is a key feature, and both USB and DP have automatic power-saving modes. PI2DPT1021Q conforms to the USB power management status of active mode (U0) and power-saving mode (U1, U2, U3). For DisplayPort, the device maintains D3 power-saving mode through its built-in AUX listener. This device is powered by a single 1.8V power supply.
PI2DPT1021Q adopts a very compact X1-QFN2845-32 (2.85mm x 4.5mm, 0.4mm pitch) package, optimizing PCB area and suitable for compact design. This device can operate within a wide temperature range of -40 ° C to+105 ° C.
