XP Power's HPT5K0 series has added 400VDC and 800VDC modules, expanding the applicability of its high-power products and making them easier to integrate on multiple platforms. The launch of these new products meets the needs of R&D personnel to design at higher voltages, including battery charging, renewable energy, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
All programmable, expandable, and configurable AC-DC power modules in the HPT5K0 series have an output voltage range that extends from 48VDC to 800VDC, providing 5kW of output power from three-phase three wire grounded 180VAC to 528VAC input. This simplifies the installation process as there is no need for a neutral connection, which is typically not available in industrial applications. The safety interlock function improves safety by providing software independent safety stop control, and signal input and output can be integrated with industrial safety controllers.
HPT5K0 supports I ² C, RS232, and RS485 serial buses, with multiple digital protocols including PMBus ™、 CANopen, Modbus, and SCPI. The ability to program constant voltage from 0 to 105% and constant current from 0 to 110% provides design flexibility and can adapt to various loads. In addition, firmware can be configured through a graphical user interface (GUI), allowing application design flexibility and tailored system integration to meet specific user needs.
Extensive built-in user-defined monitoring and digital control, such as active current sharing, remote on/off, and AC/DC OK signals, help optimize system design, thereby reducing maintenance and operational costs and improving overall operational efficiency. In addition, providing fully insulated digital communication ensures the safety of equipment and users, while also improving the reliability of the system.
The active current sharing capability of up to 25kW is easy to expand, making it more directly suitable for higher power applications without the need for extensive redesign or investment. In addition, achieving an operating efficiency of up to 94% to reduce waste heat dissipation helps to minimize operating costs, making the system not only effective but also economically viable in the long run.
XP Power conducts extensive validation testing and quality control to ensure long-lasting reliability. The HPT5K0 series complies with EN61000-4 immunity, has higher reliability in harsh electrical environments, and meets EN55032 conducted (Class B) and radiated (Class A) electromagnetic compatibility standards. These and industrial safety certifications help simplify system integration and accelerate the process of obtaining system level approvals.
