The two companies will showcase high-precision AI based sensing technology that can adapt to dynamic environments and be applied in immersive experiences, intrusion detection, electronic health monitoring, and other fields
InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDCC), A research and development company focused on mobile communication, video, and artificial intelligence technology announced today that it will jointly showcase AI sensing technology for dynamic environments with Keysight at the 2025 Mobile World Congress (MWC). At InterDigital's booth 5C51 in Hall 5, both parties will jointly showcase this sensing solution. This solution will utilize existing 3GPP signals to demonstrate that AI can improve perception accuracy while adapting to dynamic environments, thereby providing better services and experiences.
The expected landmark technologies of 6G include Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) technology, as well as the comprehensive use of AI in the network to manage, predict, and solve various problems. AI driven wireless sensing technology utilizes wireless signals to detect environmental changes, objects, or human activities. The combination of AI and sensor technology will enable wireless networks to better understand their surrounding environment and unlock a wide range of use cases, such as immersive experience, intrusion detection of smart homes, electronic health monitoring, autonomous vehicle in an interconnected environment, etc.
The joint demonstration between InterDigital and Keysight will showcase how AI driven sensing technology can provide high-precision and powerful sensing capabilities in dynamic or complex environments, enabling real-time, non-invasive monitoring and seamless integration of sensing data into various applications. By utilizing RF digital twin technology and utilizing signals that comply with existing 3GPP standards, this demonstration will demonstrate how the integration of AI enables networks to accurately track the presence and movement of personnel by analyzing changes in channel state information (CSI).
We are pleased to continue collaborating with Keysight to continuously develop and validate powerful AI solutions for wireless networks. Milind Kulkarni, head of InterDigital Wireless Communications Laboratory, said, "Our collaboration demonstrates the potential of 6G and how the development of wireless technology will make networks smarter and more environmentally aware, providing better services and expanding more application scenarios“
As we enter a new era of interconnectivity, the integration of AI in wireless communication is about to change the entire industry. Michael Dieudonn é, R&D Manager for 6G and Next Generation Technologies at Shide Technology, stated, "Our strategic partnership with InterDigital began with the SNS JU project Centric, supported by 6G-SANDBOX. This collaboration allows us to continuously push the limits of innovation in integrating AI and wireless technology, laying a solid foundation for developing innovative applications and building smarter networks. "
This demonstration includes technologies developed by SinoTech, which are part of the Centric and 6G-SANDBOX projects. These two projects have received funding from the Smart Networks and Services Consortium (SNS JU) under the Horizon Europe research funding framework of the European Union, with corresponding funding agreement numbers 101096379 and 101096328.
