This four in one MEMS sensor can effectively detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs), volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs), as well as gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The BME690 sensor can also be applied to respiratory analysis and reduce food waste by detecting signs of imminent spoilage of food. This air quality sensor supports various application scenarios such as wearable devices, smart home appliances, mobile and card devices.
The Bosch BME690 air quality sensor can simultaneously measure air pressure, gas concentration, humidity, and temperature. As an upgraded version of BME688 and BME680, BME690 has been specially optimized for high condensing environments. The sensor can also be easily upgraded seamlessly, with pins compatible with the previous generation product, and the external dimensions (3mm × 3mm × 0.93mm) remain consistent with the previous generation product.
The BME690 air quality sensor supports plug and play functionality and features advanced AI capabilities supported by Bosch Sensortec BME AI Studio software tools. Developers can train the sensor for specific application scenarios. Compared with previous generations, the BME690 has reduced power consumption by up to 50%, making it particularly suitable for battery powered applications such as wearable devices and asset tracking. This product fully complies with WELL and RESET indoor air quality standards.
Maoze also supplies BME690 Shuttle Board pre installed with this sensor. This evaluation board can be used in conjunction with the Bosch Application Board 3. x development board to evaluate the signals output by the sensor body or other output signals generated by the BSEC Library for the sensor. This board provides convenient access to sensor pins through a simple socket and can be directly plugged into Application Board 3. x.
