The vehicle grade IHXL1500VZ-3A and IHXL-2000VZ-3A, as well as the commercial IHXL1500VZ-31 and IHXL-2000VZ-31, use a new type of iron alloy core material. Compared with the previous generation, the core loss is reduced by 20%, and the temperature rise is lower. This series of devices can operate at high temperatures of+155 ° C and provide excellent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for filtering applications up to 209 A.
The Vishay Dale devices released this time can be applied in the automotive, industrial, solar, and wind energy fields, serving as high current input filters, DC/DC converters, and DC Link filters in battery charging systems, brushless DC motors (BLDC), differential mode chokes, and boost power factor correction (PFC) chokes. IHXL1500VZ-3A, IHXL1500VZ-31, IHXL-2000VZ-3A, and IHXL-2000VZ-31 adopt a magnetic shielding structure and are equipped with a pressed iron powder core, which can restrain stray magnetic flux and minimize coupling with surrounding components; Compared to traditional winding devices with exposed internal coils, it maximizes EMC. This pressed iron powder structure also has the characteristic of low internal thermal resistance, which can reduce hot spots and further improve performance when using active cooling. At the same time, the flat top design simplifies the installation of external heat sinks.
This series of inductors uses thick copper conductors internally, supporting a wide range of load currents from 55 A to 209 A, suitable for package sizes of 1500 (38.1 mm x 38.1 mm x 21.89 mm) and 2000 (50.8 mm x 50.8 mm x 21.7 mm). Its soft saturated magnetic core material can avoid hard saturation, ensuring stable inductance under wide load conditions (including high transient current spikes). IHXL1500VZ-3A, IHXL1500VZ-31, IHXL-2000VZ-3A, and IHXL-2000VZ-31 comply with RoHS standards, are halogen-free, and meet Vishay green requirements.
