According to media reports, Chengdu Huawei has released the world's first 10 bit 128GSPS single-chip ultra high speed ADC chip, filling a domestic gap in one fell swoop.
The sound, temperature, and radar signals in the real world are like cars speeding at high speeds, while ADC chips are like capture cameras on the racetrack. Their core task is to convert continuously changing analog signals into clear photos that digital devices can process.

The faster the signal runs, the faster the ADC's capture speed must be. The 128G ultra high speed ADC chip launched by Chengdu Huawei is equivalent to equipping a communication system with an ultra high speed camera - capable of completing 128 billion samples per second, accurately capturing signals in an extremely wide frequency band, ensuring that the converted digital information is not lost or distorted.
For a long time, ultra high speed ADC technology with a sampling rate exceeding 100G has been monopolized by foreign countries, and related products cannot bypass international manufacturers such as ADI.

The person in charge of Chengdu Huawei introduced that this chip is the result of fully independent forward design. It has multiple breakthrough patents in terms of overall architecture and multi-channel nonlinear correction algorithm. At the same time, it adopts mature 28nm advanced technology in China, completely eliminating external technology dependence from design to manufacturing.
The chip package size is only 26mm x 24mm, which is widely used in the commercial aerospace field. It can directly capture Ka/Ku high-frequency signals, simplify satellite communication architecture, achieve satellite weight reduction and power consumption reduction, and improve data download speed; In high-speed optical modules, the conversion of optical signals to digital signals is accurately completed with a sampling rate of 128GSPS and a resolution of 10 bits, reducing transmission error rates.

Last year, Chengdu Huawei Chip Valley Park opened for operation, achieving resonance with the regional integrated circuit industry ecosystem. The emergence of the 128G ultra high speed ADC chip is not only a major breakthrough for the company in deepening its technical difficulties and industry pain points, but also marks a new leap for China to achieve 100% independent research and development in the field of ultra high speed signal processing.
For the local electronic information industry, this chip will drive the strategic deployment of upstream and downstream communication systems, high-end instruments, and expand the development of higher performance and more competitive products.
From space communication to national key equipment, from commercial aerospace to optoelectronic conversion, this 10 bit 128GSPS ultra high speed ADC chip is building a "highway" connecting the digital world and the real world in the wave of technology in the first quarter.
According to the disclosure, the product is still in the early stages of release and commercialization. Currently, efforts are being made to promote small-scale supply and customer verification for downstream users.
