Today, global collaborative robot manufacturer Yoo Ao Robotics (a brand under Teradyne Robotics, hereinafter referred to as "Yoo Ao") launched a new online simulation tool UR Studio. This tool is built on the advanced and open PolyScope X artificial intelligence software platform, aiming to provide users with efficient and convenient simulation experiences, and assist in the development and optimization of collaborative robot applications.
UR Studio user interface demonstration
This week, UR Studio made a brilliant debut at the Automation exhibition in Munich, Germany. It can help customers, partners, and integrators build 1:1 simulation work units online and simulate every key step of configuration. With UR Studio, users can easily test robot actions, simulate their working range, speed, and workflow, and accurately calculate cycle time. Through this approach, users can easily configure and optimize work units, thereby maximizing return on investment before deployment.
Tero Tolonen, Global Chief Product Officer of U-O, said, "The core value is to make deployment more confident and efficient. Whether you are a newcomer to automation or a senior expert in complex production line optimization, you need full certainty before finalizing the plan. UR Studio provides intuitive and easy-to-use tools that allow you to simulate and visualize the final solution, comprehensively test production line performance - and maximize efficiency and capacity through detailed planning. ”
UR Studio enables users to interact with the product portfolio and various components (such as trays, machines, and workpieces) as well as end effectors (including standard fixtures commonly used in U-Robot collaborative robots) of U-Robot. Users can configure various elements according to their preferences and import other components to simulate the actual workspace. This ensures that the final solution can adapt to real-world environments, enabling smoother deployment and accelerating return on investment. In addition, UR Studio can help users detect potential issues early, reduce downtime, and avoid the risk of high costs due to later adjustments.
Free to use, no installation required
UR Studio is completely free and does not require installation, and can be run directly on a desktop browser. Users only need to log in to the UR Studio website to start using it. Its interface is intuitive and easy to operate, with prefabricated templates for the most common application scenarios such as machine loading and unloading, screw tightening, palletizing, and picking and placing. It can also quickly build and configure virtual work units. New application templates will also be continuously added.
UR Studio collaborates deeply with PolyScope X, the software platform of U-Robot. The platform is committed to supporting simulation work from the underlying architecture to bridge the gap between conceptual design and practical operation.
UR Studio currently supports English and will soon release German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese versions. Stay tuned.
