Reflex Drive, a deep tech startup from India, has chosen semiconductor power devices from Infineon Technologies (FSE code: IFX/OTCQX code: IFNNY) for its next-generation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) motor control solution. By integrating Infineon OptiMOS ™ 80 V and 100 V power devices, Reflex Drive's electronic speed regulator (ESC) achieves better thermal management and higher efficiency, resulting in high power density in a compact design. In addition, the Infineon MOTIX combines the XMC1404 microcontroller with the MOTIXTM 6EDL7141 three-phase gate driver IC ™ The IMD701 controller solution achieves compact, precise, and reliable motor control. This not only improves the performance and reliability of the drone, but also extends its flight time.

Nenad Belancic, Global Application Manager for Robotics and Drones at Infineon Technologies, stated, "Collaborating with Reflex Drive is an important part of our product launch strategy and market layout in India. This partner has numerous aviation certification clients, which demonstrates their professional capabilities. In addition, the company also showcased innovative technologies based on the Infineon system at important international industry events. ”
Amrit Singh, founder of Reflex Drive, said, "Our collaboration with Infineon has driven the rapid development of drone electronics technology. We believe that drones will deeply change multiple industries from agriculture to logistics. With Infineon's products, we can drive this change with cutting-edge technology
The field oriented control (FOC) electronic speed controller (ESC) of Reflex Drive can improve motor efficiency and achieve precise control. Its high-performance brushless DC motor (BLDC) is designed to optimize flight control and support predictive maintenance of the drive system. Its ESC weighs only 180 g, has a volume of only 120 cm ³, and can sustainably output 3.8 kW of power (12S/48V, 80 A continuous current). With its lightweight design, powerful power output, and consistent FOC control capability even in harsh weather conditions, this ESC is well suited for motors with a thrust range of 15 to 20 kg, making it particularly suitable for drone applications in agricultural spraying technology, seed sowing, small logistics, and cargo transportation.
