TDK Corporation has recently launched the EPCOS EP9 series transformers (order code: B82804E)。 Compared to the existing E10EM series surface mount transformers designed specifically for IGBT and FET gate drive circuits, the new series of components have a more compact size and excellent performance that can meet the stringent requirements of automotive and industrial applications with a system voltage of 500 V. At the same time, it has the characteristics of good insulation performance, ultra-low coupling capacitance, and strong heat resistance. This new series of products caters to TDK's active promotion of green transformation, moving towards a more electrified and sustainable future.
The EP9 series adopts manganese zinc MnZn ferrite core and SMD L-shaped pin design, with a height of only 11 mm and a board area of 13 x 11 mm. It has a wide operating temperature range from -40 ° C to+150 ° C, ensuring high reliability even under harsh working conditions. Its coupling capacitance is only 2 pF, which meets the AEC-Q200 Rev. E standard, and the creepage distance and spatial distance are ≥ 5 mm. It is widely used in automotive electronics and other applications with high requirements.
The new series of transformers supports topology structures such as half bridge and push-pull converters, with typical operating frequencies ranging from 100 to 400 kHz, and turn ratios optimized specifically for specific applications. The product is packaged in rolls and tapes, which facilitates automated assembly in large-scale production environments.
Users can obtain a sample kit with order number B82804X1, which includes 6 transformers of each model.
