Melexis, a global microelectronics engineering company, announced the launch of the MLX90425 magnetic position sensor chip in a dual-mode package (DMP) version, further expanding its magnetic position sensor series. The new device adopts the same packaging design as the existing MLX90364 and MLX90421, providing a convenient upgrade path for automotive first tier suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This chip is capable of achieving 360 ° magnetic induction rotation detection and has excellent anti stray magnetic field interference (SFI) performance, accurately responding to the automotive industry's demand for high-precision position detection and anti-interference capabilities.
The MLX90364 and MLX90421 packaged versions of the Mailaixin DMP have achieved great success in the field of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, widely used in throttle position, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems, transmission position, and other actuators or motion feedback systems, providing accurate position feedback information for vehicles. As car manufacturers transition from traditional ICE driven vehicles to more sustainable high-voltage hybrid systems, higher requirements are being placed on the anti stray magnetic field interference (SFI) performance of electronic components to ensure that magnetic induction chips provide accurate induction feedback information.
On the basis of continuing the mature DMP packaging design and PIN layout of MLX90364 and MLX90421, MLX90425 introduces the latest magnetic position sensing technology from Mindray in the traditional packaging form familiar to engineers, providing a seamless and cost-effective upgrade solution for the automotive market, effectively avoiding the redesign of a large number of components or tools.
