The Dragonfly S series combines Teledyne's excellent performance in USB and experience in embedded system solutions, making it suitable for fields such as life science instrumentation and factory automation.
Teledyne FLIR IIS (formerly Point Grey Research), a pioneer in the USB camera industry, launches a new Dragonfly ® The S USB3 camera series enriches its machine vision product portfolio.
The new series of products reflects Teledyne's continuous efforts to establish and improve visual industry standards, and help customers achieve success. This product meets the special market demand for modular, compact, and lightweight cameras, suitable for large-scale production, batch applications, and multi camera systems.
The modular design of Dragonfly S can accelerate the early stages of imaging application development in various industrial and non industrial fields. "For factory automation and embedded visual equipment manufacturers, this can be said to be the best choice," said Sadiq Panjwani, General Manager of Teledyne FLIR IIS. "Engineers can quickly test, develop, and deliver competitive visual products to the market through the modular concept of this new camera."
This camera series is very suitable for embedded or handheld device applications, such as biometric self-service terminals, ophthalmoscopy, 3D scanning, automatic optical detection, etc. It has a variety of configurations, including board level modules and fully enclosed modules with sturdy aluminum shells. The product comes with a USB connector on the back or side and features a screw in locking mechanism. The above modular options have strong flexibility and durability, and can be seamlessly integrated into small spaces. The fully enclosed type can resist electromagnetic interference and meets Class B EMC safety standards, meeting the requirements of healthcare and residential applications. In addition, the camera also has an onboard image buffer, allowing each captured image frame to be reliably transmitted to the host CPU.
The first product of the Dragonfly S series is now open for booking. Other VGA to 8MP models are expected to be released gradually within 2024. For more information, please visit our website.
