The advanced TMR process platform of Multidimensional Technology helps the consumer electronics industry expand application scenarios and achieve technological route upgrades
Jiangsu MultiDimension Technology Co., Ltd. (MDT), a magnetic sensor manufacturer specializing in Tunnel Magnetic Resistance (TMR) technology, has launched the TMR4101 high-precision magnetic grating sensor chip, which is suitable for consumer electronics and industrial applications such as camera autofocus and zoom, micrometer level displacement measurement, linear and angular position measurement, magnetic grating ruler and magnetic encoder.
Typical output signal waveform of TMR4101
The Multidimensional Technology TMR4101 magnetic gate sensor chip is used in conjunction with a multi pole magnetic gate with a magnetic pole distance of 0.4mm. When the chip moves along the length direction of the magnetic gate, its two built-in push-pull TMR half bridge structures output sine and cosine signals with a phase difference of 90 °, respectively. The period of the signal corresponds to the total length of an adjacent pair of north-south magnetic poles of 0.8mm. Based on the excellent high sensitivity and low noise characteristics of TMR technology, the sine and cosine output signals of TMR4101 can be accurately measured for micro displacement through analog front-end conditioning circuits and digital signal calculation. In typical application scenarios, it can achieve micrometer level repeated positioning accuracy. The advanced 8-inch TMR process of Multidimensional Technology optimizes manufacturing costs and improves chip reliability, while achieving a compact ultra-thin DFN4L (1.32 mm x 0.66 mm x 0.3 mm) package. It is particularly suitable for consumer application scenarios represented by smartphone and tablet camera modules with limited space size and the need to meet high-precision positioning requirements.
