The World Economic Forum (WEF) has released the latest list of "lighthouse factories", and Ningde Times Liyang Base has been successfully selected. This is the third "lighthouse factory" awarded by Ningde Times, following the Ningde and Yibin bases. At present, the only three "lighthouse factories" in the global lithium battery industry are all from CATL.
Ningde Times Liyang Base
The Lighthouse Factory was selected in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and management consulting firm McKinsey. Due to its strict selection criteria, the Lighthouse Factory is known as the "most advanced factory in the world", representing the highest level of intelligent manufacturing and digitization in the global manufacturing industry today.
The World Economic Forum believes that in order to address issues such as the surge in production capacity demand and rising labor costs, and to achieve the carbon neutrality goal of CATL, CATL Liyang Base has taken multiple measures, including using big data to simulate quality inspection, reducing line changing time through additive manufacturing (3D printing technology), and using computer vision technology to achieve micrometer level quality inspection, And utilizing deep learning to optimize process control and energy management. After successful implementation, the production capacity of the Liyang base increased by 320%, manufacturing costs decreased by 33%, product unit failure efficiency decreased from one in a million to one in a billion, and carbon dioxide emissions decreased by 47.4%.
Currently, the battery industry is moving towards the TWh era, placing higher demands on product delivery efficiency and quality. Ningde Times will continue to explore more efficient, agile, and sustainable future manufacturing models, continuously promote the successful experience of "lighthouse factories", empower industrial chain partners and industries, and further assist in the intelligent and green transformation of the global manufacturing industry.
