AMS OSRAM's new OSTAR LED has brighter colors, more prominent contrast, and higher brightness. Equipped with a 0.33-inch DLP mini projector for better results
• OSTAR ® The Projection Power LE xx P1MS/AS LED adopts a four channel configuration, and the brightness of the white spot in the projector can reach up to 880lm;
Adopting compact and heat efficient packaging and isolation chip technology, it can achieve very high current density and high brightness;
• OSTAR ® The Projection Power series helps projector manufacturers achieve excellent optical performance in space saving product designs.
The world's leading optical solution provider, Ames Osram (Swiss Stock Exchange: AMS), announced today that its OSTAR ® Four new LEDs - LE xx P1MS/AS - have been launched in the Projection Power product series. The new LED is equipped with a projection device with a 0.33-inch Digital Light Processing (DLP) imager, providing excellent optical performance.
New OSTAR ® The optical expansion of the Projection Power LE xx P1MS/AS LED has excellent compatibility with the 0.33-inch DLP imager, offering a variety of color options such as blue, amber, deep blue, and fluorescent conversion green. If equipped with a typical four channel configuration, these OSTARs ® The Projection Power LED product can produce an output brightness of 880Im at the projector level. According to internal testing by Ames Osram, the brightness of this LED has increased by 5% compared to similar products from its competitors.
OSTAR ® The Projection Power LE xx P1MS/AS LED comes in a compact package with a size of only 6.8mm × 7.6mm. The packaging adopts a copper metal core printed circuit board with isolation pads, which has better heat dissipation effect and reduces the cost of heat dissipation components.

OSTAR ® The Projection Power LE xx P1MS/AS has excellent heat dissipation performance, while also possessing high current density and brightness -6.6A/mm2 for blue, dark blue, and fluorescent conversion green LEDs, and 4.5A/mm2 for amber LEDs.
In multi-channel configurations, these LED products support serial connection and have low forward current, making it possible to use simpler and lower cost LED drivers.
Tony Tam, Senior Marketing Manager of Ames Osram, said, "The latest OSTAR ® Projection Power LED products have high brightness and excellent compatibility with 0.33-inch DLP imagers due to their optical expansion. Thanks to this, products such as home theater projectors can now present more vivid colors and clearer contrast
New OSTAR ® The Projection Power LE xx P1MS/AS LED is not only suitable for projectors, but also for other applications, including endoscopes, 3D scanners, and machine vision devices.
OSTAR ® The Projection Power LE xx P1MS/AS LED has now started mass production. For samples or more technical information, please visit the Industry Projection and Display section on the official website.
