Design and Verification of New Vector Network Analyzer Accessories Accelerating 1.6/3.2 Tb/s Devices and Next Generation Semiconductors
Keys Technology (NYSE: KEYS) announced the launch of two new millimeter wave frequency extender modules: the NA5305A frequency extender up to 170 GHz and the NA5307A frequency extender up to 250 GHz, as well as the 85065A 0.5mm precision calibration kit. When used in conjunction with the DeTech PNA/PNA-X vector network analyzer and N5292A test controller, these new accessories can help engineers achieve fully calibrated single scan broadband S-parameter measurement from 100kHz (or 10MHz) to 170/250GHz. Existing users of 110 GHz/120 GHz vector network analyzers can easily upgrade their configurations, creating additional value for their existing investments.

单次扫描宽带矢量网络分析仪解决方案,最高支持250 GHz
When used in conjunction with the broadband vector network analyzer solution, the 85065A 0.5mm precision calibration kit can achieve precise measurements up to 250 GHz. The accessories of broadband vector network analyzer can simplify the testing setup, enabling engineers to characterize devices or packaged devices on different Asia Pacific Hertz wafers, such as optical RF drivers TIA、PCB、 Cables, packaging, and passive components. New accessories can assist engineers in device characterization and shorten lengthy design and verification cycles.
As artificial intelligence drives the development of data communication with 1.6 Tb/s and 3.2 Tb/s networks, and research on Asia Pacific Hertz frequency wireless continues to advance, testing and measurement solutions must constantly evolve to meet demand. Engineers developing next-generation semiconductors and high-speed interconnects, millimeter wave and Asia Pacific Hertz wireless devices, and advanced semiconductors need instruments that can provide accurate broadband vector network analyzer measurements at increasingly high frequencies to validate designs and link simulations with real performance.
The advantages of the new broadband vector network analyzer accessories include:
• Achieve a system dynamic range of 105 dB at a frequency of 170 GHz to meet various measurement requirements, including testing of lossy passive devices, high rejection ratio filters, and active devices at different power levels.
Provide differential measurement capability to assist engineers in verifying the signal integrity of differential active devices and high-speed interconnects.
By providing a maximum output power of 0 dBm at 170 GHz and a maximum output power of -5 dBm at 220 GHz, we gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics of active devices such as amplifiers.
Measuring the Asia Pacific Hertz signals in devices on wafers and packaged devices requires specialized probes, adapters, and test cables, which together with Sidetech's new frequency extenders and calibration kits form a complete testing system.
To provide complete measurement capabilities, Shide Technology collaborates with top industry solution partners; FormFactor Inc. and MPI Corp. have designed advanced single ended and differential RF probes. In addition, Spinner GmbH, a leading supplier of coaxial adapters, has developed robust 0.5-to-0.8mm coaxial adapters and 0.5-mm PCB mounting connectors that support frequencies up to 167 GHz. Junkosha Inc. has launched high-performance 0.5-millimeter test cables.
Jens Klattenhoff, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Systems Division at FormFactor Inc., stated, "We are honored to collaborate with STMicroelectronics to expand Infinity probe technology, WinCal, and MicroChamber ® Technology provides fully integrated coaxial solutions on crystal circles up to 250 GHz.
