In the process of digital transformation, the healthcare industry faces many challenges, including:
• edge computing platforms need to integrate more and more security loads, resulting in significant performance consumption;
• To meet the construction requirements of edge fusion computing power networks, the deployment and operation costs are high, and it is urgent to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement;
• In the scenario of medical consortia, it is difficult for different systems and architectures to interact on the same computing power plane, and there are difficulties in data exchange;

In response to the pain points in the above industries, Intel has collaborated with China Mobile Research Institute to create a platform based on Intel ® The edge fusion computing power network solution for NetSec accelerator card reference design. This solution innovatively transfers network elements such as data security, network security, and software defined wide area network (SD-WAN) to edge computing power cards for operation, achieving offloading of network data, enabling network connectivity between various computing resources, and providing key computing gateway functions. This deployment method, supported by 5G networks, can provide rich network real-time data and real-time data probes for computing power brains, while also providing a cloud native northbound interface to achieve real-time scheduling and orchestration of computing power and networks.
Based on this plan, China Mobile Chengdu Research Institute is targeting medical industry scenarios, focusing on central computing power nodes, network edge computing network nodes, and medical edge computing network nodes, to create a pilot edge fusion computing power network. The pilot scenarios mainly include AI assisted diagnosis and treatment, medical data direct reporting, and rapid deployment of edge cloud network scenarios, which can help users achieve collaborative scheduling of computing power, provide strong integrated computing power support for industry users, and support the efficient operation of AI reasoning, image data processing, data analysis, and other applications.
